THIS PRODUCT IS DISCONTINUED and has been replaced with our Ammonia Analyzer 9046 and 7040 Portable Series. The Ammonia Analyzer / Monitor employs an ammonia gas sensing probe in a temperature controlled flow cell. The sample of the ammonia anlyzer is first pretreated with two reagent solutions. The first is a complexing agent to prevent hardness precipitation forming in the monitor. The second is an alkaline reagent used to raise the pH to convert the ammonium ion in solution to dissolved ammonia gas detected by the sensor. The ammonia anlyzer's optimum speed of the response has been achieved by the introduction
of sample to the sensor by a unique flowing film technique which
eliminates blockage and solids build-up. |

Range of measurement of the ammonia analyzer can be set to
any two consecutive decades of concentration between 0.05 and 1000
ppm as N, NH3, or NH4+. The range of 0.05
to 5 ppm makes the monitor ideally suited to river monitoring and
potable water intake applications. The 1 to 100 ppm is more suitable
for normal sewage effluent applications. |
Under normal operating conditions with appropriate standards and calibration intervals, accuracies better than ±5% of reading or ±0.1 ppm, whichever is geater, can be achieved. | ||
