Explosion Proof (Z-Purge) Enclosure
Waltron’s explosion proof (Z-Purge) enclosures offer required protection of instruments and other products in hazardous environments. Our explosion proof cabinets can be used in a variety of applications and the enclosures can be custom designed to house any Waltron instrument and accessories.
Waltron’s explosion proof (Z-Purge) enclosures are approved for use in Class I Division II areas. After complete assembly, each unit is fully inspected and tested to be in compliance with NFPA 469 type Z. For Class I applications, air or an inert gas can be forced through the Waltron enclosure for a specified time until all of the hazardous gas has been removed. After initial purging, a constant pressure within the enclosure is maintained.
